The monobloc chair: A product that most clearly embodies the complexity of the consumer society. It is the most widely used piece of furniture in the world. MIC is an easily stackable single-shell outdoor chair. The sides and the back are designed to show parts of the bottom-side of the seats, which leads to a sensuous shape. To achieve an independent design it was decided to reinterpret the typology of the original monobloc. It should be emphasized that this chair is intended to be made of recycled plastic which can be reused at the end of its lifetime.
